HOW TO USE:

• Prepare the Mounting Location: Identify a suitable flat surface on your dashboard where the 4.250-inch (108mm) diameter hole can be drilled. Ensure there is adequate clearance behind the dashboard for the gauge and wiring.
• Drill the Mounting Hole: Carefully drill the required 4.250-inch (108mm) diameter hole in the prepared location.
• Connect the Power Harness: Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to a suitable power source in your vehicle. Typically, this involves connecting to a 12V power supply, ground, and the vehicle’s lighting circuit if you desire the gauge to illuminate with your headlights.
• Connect the Tachometer Harness: Locate the tachometer signal wire from your vehicle’s ignition system (usually connected to the negative side of the ignition coil or an equivalent tachometer output). Connect this wire to the appropriate wire on the 8 ft Tachometer Harness (1 Wire 2 Pin Connector).
• Mount the Gauge: Insert the tachometer into the drilled hole from the front of the dashboard. Secure it using the included gauge mounting ring from the back of the dashboard, tightening it until the gauge is firmly in place.
• Connect the Harnesses to the Gauge: Plug the power and lighting harness and the tachometer harness into the corresponding connectors on the back of the Speedhut tachometer.
• Test the Gauge: Start your vehicle and observe the tachometer to ensure it is receiving a signal and displaying the engine RPM correctly. Also, check that the illumination function works when the vehicle’s lights are turned on.
