HOW TO USE:

1. Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 3.3-inch (84mm) diameter opening in your vehicle’s dashboard. Insert the Speedhut tachometer into this opening and secure it using the included gauge mounting ring from the back of the dashboard.
2. Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Identify the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness. Connect the appropriate wires from this harness to a 12V power source (typically an ignition-switched source), ground, and your vehicle’s dash lighting circuit (if you desire the gauge to illuminate with your other instruments).
3. Connect the Tachometer Signal Harness: Locate the 8 ft Tachometer Harness. Connect one end of this harness to the designated terminals on the back of the Speedhut tachometer (using the 1 Wire 2 Pin Connector).
4. Connect the Signal Wire: Connect the single wire from the other end of the tachometer harness to the tachometer signal output of your vehicle’s ignition system. This is typically found at the negative (-) terminal of the ignition coil for standard spark plug ignition systems. Consult your vehicle’s wiring diagram for the precise location.
5. Verify Connections: Double-check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and correct according to your vehicle’s electrical system and the gauge’s wiring diagram (which should be provided with the product).
6. Test the Gauge: Start your vehicle’s engine. The tachometer needle should now indicate the engine’s RPM. Verify that the gauge responds appropriately to changes in engine speed.
